This Sunday, from 2:00pm – 5:00pm The Humane Society of Ventura County will hold a fundraiser at Boccali’s restaurant in Ojai. While you enjoy a geat Italian buffet, silent auction, and live music from the Iron Mountain Boys, you’ll have the chance to meet some of the pets just waiting for someone like you to take them home. Whether you’re able to adopt, or just appreciate the work the Humane Society of Ventura County in Ojai does, please join us this Sunday for the Annual Cats in the Canyon & Hounds in the Hollow benefit at Boccali’s of Ojai. Coming September 26th at St. Rose of Lima Church located at 1305 Royal Avenue, Simi Valley. It's the 1st Annual Simi Valley Dream Cuisine! Brought to by "Serving Those in Need, INC" which together with St. Rose of Lima Church has helped the poor and homeless in Simi Valley and all of Ventura County for over 45 years. Come meet Michael Reagan as he honors his father President Reagan, Congressman Elton Galegly and his wife Janice will also attend. Thousand Oaks Art Festival

The 7th Annual Thousand Oaks Arts Festival is set for September 11th and 12th at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, Mary and Richard Carpenter Park, 2100 Thousand Oaks Blvd., and The Lakes at Thousand Oaks. The Festival celebrates both the visual and the performing arts of the area and will feature more than 60 local visual arts exhibitors, live performances, art demonstrations, and children's interactive art exhibits. California Beer Festival
The California Beer Festival (CBF) returns to Ventura County in 2010 with an opportunity for friends and family to spend a sunny afternoon sampling the over 100 brews on tap! This year the expanded event will offer attendees a chance to sip some suds and also enjoy America's favorite cuisine, Barbecue! The festival will expand to a larger area adjoining Mission Park where teams may enter to win the California Beer Festival BBQ Cook Off.
CBF will be held in downtown Ventura, California at beautiful Mission Park. For one low price you will receive a souvenir tasting glass, tickets for beer sampling, live entertainment from two stages and food samples from the BBQ cook off!
Proceeds of the California Beer Festival will benefit DARC (Dyslexia Awareness and Resource Center) www.dyslexiacenter.org. The money raised will go to launch a new program that will train teachers and parents how to work with children battling dyslexia and ADHD for FREE.

Camarillo Hospice Country Music Festival & Chili Cookoff

The Camarillo Hospice Country Music Festival & Chili Cook Off is coming to the Camarillo Ranch House on Sunday, September 5! A championship chili cook off, PV Lions BBQ, live country music, hot rod and vintage car display, and a game zone for the kids. Admission is $10 for adults and free for kids under 12! Support Camarillo Hospice in their efforts to provide free practical and emotional assistance to individuals and families throughout Ventura County who are facing life-limiting illness and/or dealing with the grief of losing a loved one.
